In order to access Jira using OAuth token, we also need to create Jira Application link<\/em> using public key that you have generated as a first step.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Steps for Application Link creation in JIRA<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  1. Click on Add Application Link<\/strong>\r\n
      \r\n
    1. Give any application URL that you like (and which doesn’t exists) such as https:\/\/jira-oauth-rest-api-access or http:\/\/example.com etc.<\/li>\r\n
    2. You will see error No response was received from the URL you entered…<\/strong> Ignore it and click on Continue <\/strong><\/li>\r\n
    3. Application Name: <\/strong>JIRA OAuth REST API Access<\/li>\r\n
    4. Application Type: Generic Application<\/li>\r\n
    5. Click on Create<\/strong><\/li>\r\n
    6. Click on Edit<\/strong> for newly created Application link with name JIRA OAuth REST API Access<\/em>.<\/li>\r\n
    7. Click on Configure<\/strong> -> Incoming Authentication<\/strong>\r\n
        \r\n
      1. Consumer Key: jira-oauth-rest-api-access<\/li>\r\n
      2. Consumer Name: jira-oauth-rest-api-access<\/li>\r\n
      3. Description: <Some description if you like><\/li>\r\n
      4. Public Key: <copy it from jira_oauth.pub><\/li>\r\n
      5. Rest of the fields leave empty<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
      6. Now Incoming Authentication<\/em> status should be shown as Configured<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
